The MAKUSA Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established by individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared vision to give back to society.
MAKUSA was founded with the primary goal of improving the quality of life for deserving children and youth. By addressing multiple facets of their lives, MAKUSA aims to empower and uplift these young individuals, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to thrive.
OUR JOURNEY
Designing initiatives creating opportunities
Hi, I’m Anugopal. My wife, Sandhya, and I, along with our two children Madhav and Kumkum, founded MAKUSA in January 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. We always wanted to give back to our society and after much thought we began with our first initiative, Project Kapada. This project aimed to provide children and youth with new, well-fitting clothes to boost their dignity and self-confidence. Despite initial challenges, community support helped us succeed.
We began with a small cohort of kids and have significantly expanded, thanks to dedicated friends. Reflecting on our journey, we’re proud but recognize there’s more to accomplish. We’re confident our volunteers, donors, and corporate partners will continue supporting our mission.
